History
JMC was founded by Joe McGee in 1987. Previously, Joe served as Superintendent for his father’s construction company, McGee Construction, for 10 years. The company started as a grading and trucking outfit working for the United States Forest Service and the Mississippi Office of State Aid Road
Construction in 1988. JMC was incorporated in 1989. In 1997, the company diversified into the bridge construction industry and has since become one of the top-rated highway and bridge constructors in the state of Mississippi. In 1998, JMC was chosen by the Mississippi Business Journal for the Fast Forty
program honoring the 40 fastest growing privately owned companies in Mississippi. In 2007, JMC owner and President, Joe McGee, was voted President of the Mississippi Road Builders Association by his peers and fellow members.
